The result is a nov­el about the lives of con­tem­po­rary urban Israeli seniors, about friend­ships that were mold­ed in the shad­ow of Israel’s his­to­ry — a nov­el that is fun­ny, trag­ic, absurd in parts, and unbear­ably real­is­tic. Stock­holm decon­structs life, death, friend­ship and love, and then art­ful­ly reassem­bles them.
